100 degrees: August has arrived.

It was 100 degrees in the chook palace this afternoon.  Thankfully it wasn't that hot outside as well.  I spent several hours in the barn today, and the flies were the worst they've been, but the opportunity to spend time with my beloved hooved ones made it all worth it, and I hardly noticed them.

A lot going on, but perhaps it's better said in photos for now.

A muggy foggy morning with the gorgeous hollyhocks.

Chicken spooning. They stood like this for about ten minutes.
