Put all the buckets out and pray for rain

This morning our water stopped running in the house. I called the well guy who was scheduled for next week to dig up our barn hydrant and replace it. Came home after TRC shift to find G sitting in the driveway looking very tired. He told me there is a leak and they have to pull the well pump. Well guy has gotten his truck stuck in our yard. His 4x4 isn't engaging. G tried with our tractor but it's not strong enough. Waiting for our neighbour to show up with the big tractor. Just a question--after a major rain event, does it not behoove you to walk ahead and see where you will be driving your 14000 lb truck? Sigh. Sheeps favourite pasture is going to be completely chewed up. They think the pump might be wrecked due to lightning strike last night. Crazy hey? Hoping for a good resolution. For now I'm rationing our bottled water for the chooks and wondering how much I will need for the horses and ducks over the next 48 hours or more if this doesn't get fixed.

This is also a good time to try out our emergency loo.

Faaaaantastic
